FREE FUNTASTIC FRIDAYS & MOVIES

FRIDAYS – HOLLYWOOD – Free family films at 8 p.m. at the ArtsPark in Young Circle. October 5th: Inside Out (PG). October 12th: E.T. (PG). October 19th: Poltergeist (PG). October 26th: Coco (PG). FREE TUNES ‘N TRUCKS

10/5 – SUNRISE Food trucks start serving at 6 p.m. and the music goes live at 7 p.m. This month enjoy Turnstiles, a Billy Joel tribute band. At the Sunrise Civic Center Amphitheater (10610 W. Oakland Park Blvd).

FREE MAYOR’S CHESS CHALLENGE

10/6 DAVIE Players of all ages and skill levels are invited to have fun challenging local officials and one another at this annual event that reaches 19 municipalities over eight months. Davie’s event is at the Pine Island Multipurpose Center from 10 a.m. to noon. Weston will host on January 12th, and Cooper City will host February 9th. Call 954-747-4600 for more information

The Teal Pumpkin Project, a national campaign by Food Allergy Research & Education, will designate non-food treats at Boo-Ville for those children for who candy is no an option.
